Meet Mike

Mike is an army veteran that served his country for seven years. When he returned to civilian  life, Mike went down a dark path and started doing things that were out of his character. He ended up in jail for seven months, losing his home, car and family members. Mike felt lost. He was directed to the Waterfront Rescue Mission and has completely turned his life around.

Mike is now a student at George Stone Technical Center and is enrolled in the Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing program. Our Opening Doors van was badly damaged, and when we needed repairs Mike was there to help. Because Mike was given the chance to escape homelessness and start his life over, he was able to help us towards our mission of helping the homeless.
