Services
Opening Doors and its local provider agencies provide the following homeless prevention services:
- Rent payment assistance
- Utility payment assistance (limited to certain utilities only)
These services have different requirements and limits, depending on the grant used to fund the service.
We cannot guarantee that we can provide you with services.
A case manager must fully evaluate your application and all required documentation, to ensure that your situation meets a program's requirements.

Programs
TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
- Prevents imminent risk of homelessness situations.
- For households with at least one adult and one child.
- Program is limited to US citizens.
- Must currently rent or own your home that you are applying for assistance with. (Does not fund relocation)
A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services program.
ESG
- Serves any type of household with at least one adult.
- Eligibility is based on your current living situation, income, and need.
- Program is limited to US citizens.
A U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development program.
