Opening Doors Northwest Florida

Homeless Prevention

Funding Update – November 2025

1. Rapid Rehousing Services
At this time, state funding contracts for Rapid Rehousing services have not been executed. Consequently, these funds remain paused until further notice. Opening Doors will provide an update once contracts are finalized and funding becomes available.

2. Homelessness Prevention Assistance
State funding for Homelessness Prevention (including assistance with past due rent and/or utilities) is currently available exclusively through Catholic Charities.

3. Additional Programs
Several non-government-funded programs remain available and are not affected by state or federal funding cycles.  For a comprehensive directory of available community resources, individuals are encouraged to contact 2-1-1 or visit https://www.uwwf.org/211
